At the End..
Portraits of people at the end of their life, some of them have allready died . Fear, vulnarebillity, sometimes Alzheim, all sort of expressions can be seen on their faces.

Lieske
2018Lieske followed a lott of years a paintingcourse at my studio and she was the neigtbour of my parents. After her husband died, her health declined. She became demented and doesn't recognize me anymore. She seems not to be depressed, she has a kind of resignation about her. She is taken very well care of in her last phase.
Trees
2017Trees is the mother of a good friend of mine. She is recently brought to an institution. Mentally she is going backwards and feels no sense in life. She thinks that her life has pasted away.
Wim
2017Wim was our taxadvisor. He was very interrested in art. So thats why we met also in other ocations. Also in his older age he enjoyed walk and bycicleholidays. At the and he became Altheimer. This portrait is dated a few weeks before he died.

2015Theo is my father. Just after his death I made this portret

2015Dore is my aunt. The last years she spent in hospital. This portret comes from the last weeks.
